A couple of weeks ago we drove to Kristiansand, a beautiful city on the southeast cost of Norway and about 4 hours away. In Kristiansand one can jump on a boat and go to Denmark, not too far away.
The first photograph was taken in a city called Arendal, about an hour before Kristiansand. The building you see is a giantic Lutheran church at the city center. And if you look closely you can see a 7-11 at the bottom of the church. Don't see that very often.
Tunnels. Norway is a land of tunnels. Actually, it's probably a European thing. As you can see, rather than building a road to go over a small hill they dig a hole through it. Very typical. Many tunnels are 2-3 kilometers long and many of them go under fjords. They're really kind of neat. Our apartment sits on top of a tunnel.
